Dr. Richard MacDonald, CEO & President



Dr. MacDonald co-founded RAM Laboratories, Inc. in 1997 and has been serving in the capacity of President and Chief Executive Officer since the company’s inception. With twenty years experience in high technology and defense businesses, Dr. MacDonald has overseen the strategic planning and growth of RAM Laboratories into a recognized defense technology leader with a national customer base spanning coast-to-coast, supporting multiple branches of the Department of Defense including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security. Under Dr. MacDonald’s leadership, the company has forged relationships with numerous Fortune 500 companies including Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Northrop-Grumman, SAIC, CSC, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, Raytheon and IBM allowing RAM Laboratories to diversify their technological and service offerings while evolving to meet global challenges.

In addition to his role as CEO, Dr. MacDonald also serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Modeling and Simulation International. Dr. MacDonald also is active in Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA).

Prior to starting RAM Laboratories, Dr. MacDonald held positions at Validity Corporation (a Titan company), TRW and NCR. During his previous employment, Dr. MacDonald worked in both technical and managerial positions on numerous defense and technology programs. These programs included the F-22 and Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft, satellite systems and communication/networking technology.

Dr. MacDonald earned both a Ph.D. and Masters of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.



Dr. Robert McGraw, VP, Chief Technology Officer



Dr. McGraw joined RAM Laboratories, Inc. in 1997 in the capacity of a co-founder and Vice-President of Research and Development. Dr. McGraw, now Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for the oversight and technical direction of RAM Laboratories’ applied research for information management, modeling and simulation, decision sciences, and systems engineering efforts. Several of Dr. McGraw’s successful research and development programs include: DSAP, a Dynamic Situational Awareness and Predictive Framework being developed for the Air Force for C2 Course of Action and Adversary Analysis, and Distributed Information Management-related efforts for the Missile Defense Agency that are developing technologies to enhance the performance, QoS, and scalability of information management systems.

Dr. McGraw is active in the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization where he serves as a member of the Command and Control/Modeling and Simulation Services Forum and the Research and the Research, Development, and Engineering Forum. Dr. McGraw also served as a past Secretary of the C4ISR-Simulation Technical Reference Model Product Development Group. Dr. McGraw is a member of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS). In addition, Dr. McGraw has over 30 publications in the areas of information management and modeling and simulation.

Prior to joining RAM Laboratories Dr. McGraw was a System Engineer at TRW, Inc. where he analyzed HW/SW components for distributed avionics platforms.

Dr. McGraw received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA; his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA; and a B.S. in Electronics Engineering and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA.

Ms. Michelle S. Jaent, Director of Finance and Contracts



Michelle Jaent joined RAM Laboratories in 2005 with seventeen years of accounting and financial experience. Ms. Jaent is a seasoned professional with skills in financial reporting, contract management, staff management and training, automated accounting solutions, and negotiations with lending agencies. Her extensive experience includes knowledge in the design of accounting systems and procedures within organizations to achieve greater efficiency and productivity. Ms. Jaent ‘s knowledge of government contract accounting practices is a true asset to RAM Laboratories, Inc.

Ms. Jaent is also a member of the National Contracts Management Association and National Defense Industrial Association.

Prior to joining RAM Laboratories, Ms. Jaent was the Controller for Network Insight LLC, a company specializing in the design, integration and management of IP networks. Ms. Jaent holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting, from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, MI.
