RAM Laboratories, Inc. Wins Contract to Develop Training Technology
San Diego, CA - January 24th, 2005 - RAM Laboratories announced today that the company has been awarded a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contract from the U.S. Army's Research, Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) in Orlando, Florida. The contract will enable RAM Laboratories to extend its industry leading MRMAide technology to address Multi Resolution Federation Planning and Development. The technology developed under this award will be used to facilitate and enhance the development of warfighter training applications that encompass both simulations and operational C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) systems. The work carries both options to extend the Phase I research and build a Phase II prototype.
"We believe this research will allow us to enhance training for our troops at a time when our need for force readiness is at its highest," said Dr. Robert McGraw, RAM Laboratories' Chief Technology Officer. "The MRMAide technology will enable the planning of more complete and complex simulations used for training our Nation's Commanders."
The MRMAide technology will allow the defense industry to build interoperable training simulations while considering multiple levels of resolution for live, constructive, and virtual training domains by visualizing the data disparities present when operating in such diverse environments. The technology will be targeted for operational use by the Program Executive Office Simulation Training Instrumentation (PEO-STRI) in Orlando Florida.
