RAM Laboratories, Inc. Wins Follow-on Contract to Develop Fault Tolerance Technology for Distributed Computing

San Diego, CA – May 15th, 2006 - RAM Laboratories announced today the company has won Phase II Small Business Innovation Research Contract (SBIR) titled “Fault Tolerant Computing for Ground-Based Midcourse Defense”.

The company will be developing fault tolerance technologies to ensure that mission critical capabilities are always available to defend against hostile missile threats. This contract provides RAM Laboratories an excellent opportunity to develop fault tolerant technologies that robustly perform over widely distributed and geographically dispersed computing environments while ensuring that Quality of Service (QoS) demands of users are fully addressed. It is expected that that a major benefit of this technology will be that enhanced fault tolerance capabilities will be provided to key military infrastructures with outstanding savings in economy due to improved efficiency in the use of military resources.

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Ground Based-Midcourse Defense, is funding the SBIR Phase II contract.
