RAM Laboratories, Inc Awarded Three Army Research Contracts
San Diego, CA - November 6th, 2006 - San Diego based RAM Laboratories is pleased to announce that the U.S. Army has awarded the company three Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contracts. Two of the contracts are from the Aviation & Missile Research, Development, & Engineering Center (AMRDEC) in Huntsville AL and the third contract is with the Program Executive Office for Command, Control, and Communications Tactical (PEO C3T) at Fort Monmouth, NJ. If the options are exercised, the total value of these contracts will be worth $2,225,000.
The Army received 3,384 proposals in response to 238 topics in the solicitation. These proposals were evaluated against published technical criteria, and rank-ordered for selection. The Army selection process resulted in the identification of 322 Phase I proposals, (9.5%) for award.
For AMRDEC, RAM Laboratories will be developing innovative software anti-tamper techniques that will prohibit adversaries from reverse engineering military systems. In addition, for the PEO C3T, RAM Laboratories will be developing innovative simulation and analysis tools that will enable Commanders to intelligently plan and prepare the battlespace prior to operations. “These awards allow RAM Laboratories to expand its R&D programs for developing critical technologies that will protect both the Warfighter and the Nation,” said Dr. Richard MacDonald, RAM Laboratories President & CEO.
