RAM Laboratories Awarded Contract to Develop Integrated Information Assurance and Anti-Tamper Solution
San Diego, CA - Oct 30th, 2008 - RAM Laboratories is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), Huntsville AL, to meld information assurance and anti-tamper technologies into a single product. Specifically, RAM Laboratories will be enhancing the company’s Trusted Platform Security Manager (TPSM) solution such that the resulting TPSM will provide improved data integrity, data availability, data authentication, and data storage as an out-of-band solution via multiple layers of protection.
It is anticipated that the resulting TPSM will be utilized by applications residing on platforms including forward-deployed UAS (Unmanned Aerial System), manned avionic platforms, manned surveillance platforms, and unattended sensor systems. These platforms typically include several critical hardware subsystems, potentially operating at different security sensitivity levels.
"The goal is to create a system of protection layers that leverage the strengths of information assurance and anti-tamper to make reverse engineering more difficult, said Dr. Richard MacDonald, the company’s CEO. “While this contract allows us to continue performing cutting-edge information security R&D for the Army, this technology will have far reaching benefits across all the services".
